Patient Care App

BACKGROUND

I encourage you to imagine a world where hospital wrist bands no longer exist. A world where nurses can use a mobile device for patient identification and much more. That is what I was tasked to work on at Smartrac and below are some examples.

CHALLENGE
Help nurses reduce the amount of items they have to carry on a daily basis and make rounding patients easier.

SOLUTION
Create a mobile application that displays patient information in a fun and approachable format.

RESULTS
An Android and iOS app that essentially replaces the hospitals Electronic Medical Record system.

BEHIND THE SHIELD

Much like nurses, shields are a symbol of strength and protection. We experimented with a variety of designs before landing on what would become the final shield design and app icon.

EXECUTING THE VISION

I designed the app in Sketch which allows me to get the work into a testable environment quickly. The entire experience is meant to be easy to use and housed in a clean, mobile-first UI.
